... Hidden Options
Disable Password The -b option will disable the user/password query in pro- grams TELNET, RTELNT, RPTLNT, FTP, RFTP, CNCT, RCNCT, RPCNCT, MAIL, and MMAIL. Local users normally are not required to use passwords when activating TELNET, FTP, or CNCT. The MAIL and MMAIL programs and the network server programs RTELNT, RFTP, and RCNCT should not specify the -b option for security reasons.
Subdirectory Unit Selection
The default LD units used by the client/server/utility pro-
grams for subdirectory access are LD2: and LD3:. These
defaults may be changed with the hidden -s option:
-s arg1 arg2
where arg1 is the first LD unit number to use and arg2 is the
maximum number of nested subdirectories. The value of arg1+arg2
must be less than or equal to 8, the total number of LD units.
The default is arg1=2 and arg2=2.
